The RCC connects seniors with the community and available support services – partnering them with helping hands to aid with household chores and yard work and to provide enriching social activities. These events promote overall health and wellness for these amazing and resilient individuals who have been the backbone of our Rosseau community for years.
While we are actively finding ways to make our goals reality, we need help to make our efforts go even further. Rosseau Caring Community has partnered with West Parry Sound Community Support Services to offer monthly Lunch & Learns for seniors in the area. These Lunch & Learns occur at the Rosseau Memorial Community Hall on the third Tuesday of each month. The ‘learning’ component includes a guest speaker to provide insight and learning on a specific topic. A few examples of the learning include an engaging presentation made by West Parry Sound EMS on what happens when you call 911, The Canadian Hearing Association provided valuable information and free hearing screenings, and a very informative OPP presentation about fraud and online safety.
